Nothing in the world can stop you from splurging if you are about to get married. If you have tons of money and would want your fairy tale wedding from your loads of money, then be our guest. However, having an expensive wedding does not guarantee a perfect wedding. Nor does this have any guarantee that you won’t get a divorce after some years. You can have a very simple and elegant wedding without experiencing a rip off. What would make your wedding budget truly significant is how you spend each and every penny.
Having a wedding, even if this is only done in the city hall, will have to be prepared. All the documents, rings, wardrobe and the reception will have to be given some kind of a budget in order to accomplish the special wedding that you want. There are some who would settle for a simple, yet memorable wedding. The rest of the couple’s money will be spent on a more luxurious honeymoon like going on tour around the world or staying at a great vacation place like the Bahamas or staying in a different country for a month. The way that the wedding budget is planned is all up to the couple’s decision.
So what really comprises much of the budget of a great wedding? There are numerous things to consider such as the location of the wedding, the reception venue, the wedding wardrobe, the rings, etc. Here are the top three things you have to really splurge on and find a quality supplier on:
1. Venues—whether the ceremony and reception will be in one or two separate venues, you will need to appropriate a nice sum of money. Some couples want a destination wedding, which is naturally more expensive. If you want to have a garden wedding or do it in church, wedding packages are available for you to choose from. Make sure that your selected guests will fit in the venue or else you will be having a hard time later on trimming down your guest list.
2. Caterer—the food that will be served in your reception and rehearsal dinner will be the only thing that your guests will remember. They may remember how you look like but their comments would center mostly on how they were treated during the whole occasion, especially on the food. Your menu must have different varieties and flavors. It has to cater to any kind of guest like vegan, those who are on a diet, etc. Drinks will have to be overflowing and not limited to the VIPs only.
3. Photographs and Videos—your special day needs to be covered and documented well. A masterful skill in taking pictures and videos are needed to ensure you can just be yourself on your special day and everything else will be included in your souvenirs for this day. This is why people really splurge on this. You have to find someone who can really capture everything, candid or not, to your heart’s content. Mostly, the packages that will be offered to you are with videos and pictures already so you can be more economical in this aspect. But if you have someone in mind, then it’s fine. You can just get the package that has photography only or video only. Just be more prepared to shell out more from your wedding budget for this.
Be wise enough to spend on the right things and not just throw away your money in every possibility that you can think of. You probably won’t use all of them anyway and would just forget about them after you have bought them. Being a smart bride isn’t a sin but if becoming too lavish without logic is.
