One of the things brides most commonly forget about their wedding shoes is that they have to match the dress. High heels are a nightmare to ware for the ladies who enjoy keeping their feet comfortable. This means that the wedding day should not be the first time the shoes are worn.

For brides that have chosen to wear a floor long dress, the design of the wedding shoes will not be all that important. They could wear sneakers and nobody will notice. But most of the time the bride’s shoes do get noticed, and when taken into consideration that she will be standing up the entire day, comfortable shoes might be the right solution.

The price of wedding shoes varies significantly. Usually the cost is between $200 and $300, depending on the style and design. Spending more money on bridal shoes is a good idea because the cheaper pairs are not made from quality materials. The shoe needs to provide the bride with enough support, otherwise she will feel a great strain in her back and on her knees. Wearing the wrong shoes on the wedding day is survivable, but it might ruing the pleasure of the honeymoon, especially if it is planned for right after the wedding.

There is nothing wrong with purchasing heels for the wedding day. New shoes, however, need to be broken in. The whole process will take a few weeks, but it will be worth it. When purchasing wedding shoes, a bride should also keep in mind the groom. Some heels are pretty impressive, and the groom might feel awkward if the bride is extra tall on the wedding day. Comfortable shoes or high heels – this is entirely up to the bride, it is her day after all. When choosing high heels though, the breaking in process should start a few weeks before the wedding.
